Rohith sets the benchmark
Smashers captain Abhilash Anand made the clearest statement of intent, securing Rohith Shylendra for 21 points—the highest price of the auction and 42% of the team’s starting kitty. Awaiz Usman answered for the Strikers with the second-largest purchase, winning Navin for 18.
Mahanth Sharma took a different route for Challengers, building around two ten-point marquee signings in Mohan and Visagn before extracting significant value when released players returned to the room.

The release market changed the auction
Aggressive early spending forced difficult decisions. Prem moved from Strikers at ten points to Challengers at four, while Ashish B followed the same route after first costing nine. Sathyan Mohan moved from Smashers at ten to Strikers at seven, and Pranay went from Challengers at eight to Strikers at three.
Those second-chance rounds rewarded captains who kept enough flexibility to act late. Vasu and Arun Kannan joined Smashers for two points each, while Sundar and Ashish moved to Strikers at reduced values.
How the captains built
Committed heavily to the auction’s biggest individual signing, then completed the group through disciplined lower-value purchases.
Attacked the marquee market early, made the most moves through the release rounds and still finished with six points remaining.
Combined two ten-point headline signings with some of the evening’s strongest second-chance value.
